“Transporter” – Transportation of pupils that costed more than the transportation of pupils in Tokyo
In the press conference that took place on 14 April 2016, the Special Prosecution Office (SPO) announced that it has initiated an investigation under the code name “Transporter”, which is related to the transport of pupils in Bitola Municipality, and the prime suspect in this investigation is the mayor of Bitola himself, Vladimir Taleski
According to the investigation, the mayor Taleski, in an agreement with the principals of the elementary schools and multiple transport companies, has damaged the budget in the amount of 360.000 euro in just two school years.
SPO’s prosecutor, Fatime Fetai, announced that the case has been taken over from the Basic Public Prosecution Office – Bitola and the obtained exhibits give the SPO serious reason to believe that Bitola Municipality, through its mayor, has been paying more expensive transport than the one in Tokyo.
Today, you will have the opportunity to be introduced with probably the most expensive transport of pupils in the world, paid by the city of consuls with funds of the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia, outside all legal norms, of course.
In fact, this case was taken over from the Basic Public Prosecution Office Bitola, which also initiated preliminary investigation procedure and that prosecution office issued order for economic expert witnessing of the municipality’s work regarding the public procurements related to the transport of pupils.
Due to the Bureau of Court Expertise’s expert finding, as well as the rest of the obtained exhibits, this prosecution office seriously believes, of course in this phase on the level of justified suspicion, that Bitola Municipality through its, now pardoned, “city father”, has been paying probably the most expensive transport of pupils in the world, perhaps more expensive than the transport in Tokyo, and all of this caused direct pernicious financial consequences on the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia, and undoubtedly on every citizen of this country.
Namely, there is a justified suspicion that the mayor of Bitola Municipality and the President of municipality’s Public Procurement Committee, formed by the mayor, in agreement with the principals of the elementary and high schools in Bitola and the managers of the transport companies “Hera Turs”, “Transkop”, “Djem Turs” AD, “Bobi Turs”, “Djimi Turs”, “D and A Hera trans”, “Luka express”, “Marija trans”, “Turist prevoz”, “Hera prevoz Novka” and “Gopesh trans” have damaged the funds of the Budget of the Republic of Macedonia in the amount of 22.024.891,00 denar or approximately 360.000 euro, in just two school years.
